Baron Goodlove is a Hertfordshire-based singer-songwriter and was raised on Blues, Soul and Jazz records by his father and grandmother. Whilst Pop, Grunge and even Metal dominated his teenage years, he always found himself coming back to John Lee Hooker, BB King and Louis Jordan. Baron Goodlove brings all these sounds together in his unique brand of Blues-tinged Grunge Soul.
Originally a solo performer, Baron Goodlove soon realised that, like his heroes, he needed a solid backing band and formed The Dreadful Noise.
The debut EP Come What May and its lead single My Love, as well as the follow-up standalone single Don’t Forget Me, led to radio play from BBC Introducing, BBC Three Counties Radio and a live session for Whispering Bob Harris’s Under the Apple Tree Sessions. Baron Goodlove is also a Sofar Sounds favourite and regularly gigs all over the South-East and beyond.
The coming year will see The Baron return to the studio with The Dreadful Noise, with a number of new singles pegged for release across the summer, autumn and beyond, as well as numerous live shows and festival dates.
Baron Goodlove and the Dreadful Noise take the flair, feeling and flawless groove of Blues history’s greatest bands and mix them with thought-provoking lyrics and modern musicality. It’s soulful, powerful and original – a new sound in the old mould.
